The footbath that is truly designed for the job it has to do. Together with Watter, Sidijk developed a durable and low-maintenance footbath for dairy cattle. Thanks to its well-thought-out design and the product used in it, the hooves are cleaned and disinfected without requiring much maintenance from the farmer. The result of more than two years of development: a robust, PFAS-free solution that is ready for use on any dairy farm.

From idea to practice

The idea for this hoof bath arose from a shared ambition: to offer a solution that is better for the animal, easier for the farmer, and more sustainable for the future.

Watter contributed his knowledge of disinfection processes, while Sidijk brought his experience with sustainable materials and constructions.

What makes this paw bath different?

Durable material, long service life

The foot bath is made of polypropylene (PP): strong, non-toxic, and recyclable. This makes it a sustainable alternative to traditional baths made of PVC, among other materials. The material can withstand intensive use and retains its shape even after months of daily use.

Smart in use and maintenance

The bath is designed with intensive daily use in mind. The protective topsheet keeps the disinfectant clean for longer and dirt slides off the surface automatically. The modular construction makes maintenance easy: parts can be replaced individually without having to replace the entire bath.

Filling is easy with, for example, a hose or a pump, and emptying can be done by tilting the tub on its side. This keeps the work simple and efficient.
